What's the Recommended Way to Delete a REXwireless Application?

Not all RIM install methods are created equal, which can cause a few issues when deleting our applications.

FIRST, in all cases...

1) It is important to do a "delete database" command, found on the main menu of every REXwireless application first. This cleans up any memory used by the REXwireless BlackBerry-resident relational database.

THEN, if you installed OTA (over-the-air using the BlackBerry browser):

2) Go to BlackBerry Options / Advanced / Applications

3) Scroll to the REXwireless application you would like to delete.

4) Click on the menu and choose Delete

5) Reboot the BlackBerry when prompted.

IF you installed using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager, you should delete the application using BlackBerry Desktop Manager while the BlackBerry is hooked up to your PC via USB wire.

If you installed using the BlackBerry AppWorld application, you can delete it from AppWorld or using the same method as OTA.

If you installed using the RIM Active X installer, you might find that all methods of deletion are "greyed out". In this case, the easiest solution is to download the application again over-the-air, using your BlackBerry browser from http://rexwireless.com/download - then the OTA delete above will work.
