ReferenceMatrix

Share fresh reference data across any workgroup of BlackBerry users.

ReferenceMatrix enables simple, centralized control of reference information across any population of BlackBerry units. One master read/write account controls the dataset, which is then wirelessly synchronized to all BlackBerry devices in the workgroup.

Because of REXwireless' unique experience in the personal productivity space, ReferenceMatrix is designed to span the globe, with workgroups across different cellular carriers and networks.  Teams can be assembled from one company or from multiple companies - REXwireless manages the complexities of synchronization.

ReferenceMatrix is based on the free-form and flexible ideaMatrix package.  Possible applications include central scheduling, always-on-your-hip technical reference guides for a mobile workforce, field sales force sales guides, policy reference system, facilities status, hyperlink system to organizational mobile websites or subject-matter experts, manufacturing job status, flash reporting, and many more.

Top Ten Features

1. Reference Information, Always Available on your BlackBerry   The BlackBerry is a perfect place to put your reference information because it is always with your team members, on their hips or in their purses or briefcases.

ReferenceMatrix makes it easy to accomplish and maintain.

In the example above, a development group shares who is working on which project by week.

2.  Synchronization of All Workgroup Members in a Timely Fashion

Unlike other "manual download" solutions, ReferenceMatrix is automatically updated.  Pages can be added, modified, deleted, and moved, all from the master administrator's account on their PC using REXdesktop or on their BlackBerry.

Changes are synchronized within minutes to all units in the workgroup and a report is available for the administrator which confirms sync status by user.

Default synchronization is hourly.  The administrator can lengthen or shorten the sync frequency.

3. Easy to Use Data Structure

ReferenceMatrix features nearly unlimited pages, sections, and chapters, which are organized as folders and drawers.

The structure makes navigation and organization natural and easy to use.  Special "jump to folder" features make it efficient for the frequent user.

The more the data is subdivided into folders, the easier it is for users to find the right topic.

4. Powerful free-form Indy*Search system

Finding the correct page quickly when it is needed is essential.

ReferenceMatrix offers a free-form find system called Indy*Search which offers the user visual feedback, allowing them to narrow the search to the right few hits quickly.

It is helpful to subdivide the reference information into small notes, which makes Indy*Search return a narrow, manageable result.

5. No I/T Department Support Required

ReferenceMatrix was designed so that start-up and operation does not require effort by I/T department personnel.

REXwireless' servers manage the synchronization.  Setup is performed on a simple web page.  REXdesktop offers the ability to add data quickly and easily with cut and paste.  A non-tech can easily leverage ReferenceMatrix for a large group.

Administration can be accomplished from a PC browser or BlackBerry browser by the master administrator.

6. Synchronize Groups of Users that may not Work for Just One Company

ReferenceMatrix does not require a homogeneous BlackBerry environment to accomplish its mission.  BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) software is not a requirement.

This means that workgroups can span multiple companies and multiple cellular carriers with ease.

BlackBerry reports show exceptions to alert the administrator to potential problems with a particular unit.

7. Users can Review Changes that have not been Read

ReferenceMatrix offers special "what changed" "what's new" views.

A "read / unread" flag helps the user keep up with incoming information.

Special Views make it easy for a workgroup member to only review new changes and additions.

8. Links Can Be Provided to Addition Information on Mobile-Compatible Websites

ReferenceMatrix can contain weblinks to external websites that offer addition information, such as diagrams and pictures in addition to text.

A user can position the cursor on a link, then activate the menu to jump to the web location using the BlackBerry browser.

Click on a provided link to view additional information in the BlackBerry browser.

9. User Provisioning Enables Easy Addition or Deletion of Users for a Workgroup

Adding and deleting users is easy.  The latter is usually very important if a person announces that they are leaving the company.

The administrator has the ability to lockdown a user's access to their ReferenceMatrix from the workgroup administrative view on REXdesktop.

A user can be deleted from the BlackBerry or from the central server account.

10. Feedback to Administrator is Provided

Users in the workgroup are offered a simple e-mail feedback to the administrator capability directly on the application's menu.

These suggestions help keep the group's ReferenceMatrix as accurate and helpful as it can be.

Users in the workgroup can easily send private messages back to the administrator.
